JEE Main
JEE Main is an engineering entrance test conducted by CBSE, which has replaced AIEEE & gives the opportunity for admissions in 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and several other centrally funded technical institutes (CFTI). JEE Main consists of two examinations. Paper I is for the admission to undergraduate programs (B.E/B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs. Paper II is an architecture entrance exam for B.Arch./B.Planning in these institutes. The application form of JEE Main 2018 can only be filled online from 1st December 2017 onwards. JEE Advanced
Only the students qualifying JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced exam is going to be an online examination from 2018, which leads to the admission in all 23 IITs. It’s score is also used by other institutes such as IIST, IISc and IISERs for admissions. This exam, conducted by one of the 7 zonal IITs and consists of two papers, both of which are mandatory.
BITSAT
It is a single level online entrance examination of Birla Institute of Technology and Science for engineering and pharma courses. There are 3 campuses of BITS Pilani – at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Board toppers will get direct admission while other candidates must have 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology & should have scored minimum 60% marks in each of the three subjects to be eligible.
KVPY
KVPY is a scholarship program of Government of India, executed by IISc Bangalore, which seeks to encourage the study and research in basic sciences. The selection is done through an objective aptitude test in November, followed by an interview. The successful candidates get admissions in the courses of Basic sciences in IISc. Even if you pursue it from any other college, you still get a monthly and yearly grant.
KCET
Karnataka Common Entrance Exam (KCET) is an entrance test conducted for the candidates seeking admission to professional courses such as Engineering/Technology, Architecture, Medical, Dental, Indian systems of medicine & homoeopathy, Farm Science, Pharma courses in the government colleges of Karnataka.
MHTCET
Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is an entrance exam of the candidates for admission to First Year of full time undergraduate degree courses in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm D.) in the Government, Government-Aided and Unaided Institutes in Maharashtra.
